Prose 6 : The Brisk Movement Of The Mind And Tongue

The Brisk Movement Of The Mind And Tongue
                                                         - T ABRAHAM

There is something that hinders one from expressing ones thoughts or there are words available in plentitude but no ideas to express or our minds are as blank as the space. For some, it is the language that becomes a barrier in expressing one's thoughts to a larger crowd of a variety of educated races seated on the face of this planet earth. Does our mind thinks freely? Does words pour out from your mouth as an ever flowing stream with clarity being crystal clear like the purity in water? Does the tongue moves freely when the language is being used? These are some of the questions to which we have to find solutions to, to create the best forms of art that can be delivered to the larger audience without much of difficulty in it.

The first and the most important thing that one must do is to listen and be good listeners to any piece of information being conveyed to us. To be more specific attending various events that involves a lot of knowledge transfer is something very important and our auditory receptors would grasp in the way we have to speak and the clarity and the words to be used to converse or to deliver something to an audience. The sounds heard would be modified over time when we do not stop ourselves from attending the talks about a variety of topics which presents us to the rudiments of 'how to speak?'.

Then, it is very important to address the question of 'what to speak?' and 'how to speak?'. For this we have to open up our photoreceptors and also open up our mind to catch up with the abundant information that should flow unto us to express something that is relevant to any topic. When we have something in our mind then we get kindled either to speak up or write it out. One can load one's mind with a plentitude of information and expressions by reading a newspaper, novels (or any other forms of literary art such as poems, prose essays, etc.,) and even one's Holy texts that would enhance one's worldly knowledge and spiritual realm as well. The dialogues spoken by character in dramas and plays which we take up for reading are something that tells us how each and every word should be uttered and how one should emphasis upon certain words to make one's voice lively and expressive and it serves as a hook to catch the attention of one's audience.

Then, finally to experiment this we need the laboratory and the laboratory for such experiments is none other than opportunities to deliver a piece of information in the most elaborate and comprehendible way on a stage given to us. The live audience present in front of us should be benefitted with the details we give them and our motto is not to impress but to express and kindle the crowd to think out of the box by presenting our own thoughts and ideas to them.

There are some important things to be kept in mind before sharing any piece of information. The information should be expressed in a universally comprehendible manner so that it reaches everyone and benefits the crowd as a whole and also the information should be checked upon for any errors and errors should be avoided to the maximum and one should not err too much as it would become a case of 'blind leading the blind' if there are errors in one's presentation. Hence, one can become a good writer and a speaker as well with a rudimentary knowledge and skills if one can express one's thoughts effectively and in a spontaneous manner with both the mind and the tongue working together in this effective expression of information.
