Poem 191 : Lights Off

 Lights Off

Thunderstorms and wetness prevailing,

Bolts of flashes from the sky coming,

Bursts and cuts and there comes the power cut,

Electrons moving into each house being stopped,

The pause made as an action of protection,

Termination of the misery by fire is done,

Short-circuiting may tend a short human life,

Vision of television flickering and flashing out,

Lights popping on and shutting off,

Darkness surrounding every corner of the house,

Dark and darkened with fear of the dark night,

Light amidst the darkness is flashing back again.
