Poem 190 : The Touch Screen

 The Touch Screen
                            -  T ABRAHAM

Emitter of light and radiations,

Irritating and pricking sensations,

World moving faster and faster,

Connections growing larger and larger,

Screen with a variety of purpose,

Proteins making up the lens is weakened,

Optics creating a multiple vision,

Visions of blurriness and weakness,

A four-eyed vision is witnessed,

Addictions getting injected into the limbs,

Scrolling past and eyes rolling over,

The migraine makes the game over.

After about a week joining at Madras Christian College (Autonomous) for pursuing my undergraduate course in B.A English Language and Literature under the aided stream I had my first visit to my college library named as 'Miller Memorial Library'. Since, it was my first time I just took a random book from the 'English' section and read it. Then, whenever I had my free hours I started to have regular visits to the library. Till the end of my 1st semester I used to go either to the 'English'or 'Philosophy' section to read. Then, from my 2nd semester onwards I started to use Reading Hall 1 as our syllabus started to have poetry, prose, drama and fiction as I had my own books to read. I felt that my college's library is one among the places that is really good for people who want to use their time productively especially for the arts students.
