Growing up as a part of life is not just the physical growth that one undergoes but also in various other ways. The term 'growth' is really a very broad term used to describe many things and the term 'development' which is yet another process that spontaneously accompanies one's growth which is an inevitable factor.
When a child is growing up there are many kinds of growth and development that takes place in a child when he becomes an adolescent and then enters the adulthood. The growth upon which we are going to focus upon now are the growth seen in one's physique and the attainment of a mature mindset which is the mental growth.
Firstly, take the physical growth and one significant factor is the increase in one's height and increase of body mass and muscle mass which shows one as manly and this increases upon the passage of time. One important thing to be noted is that, there are more chances for obesity to attach itself upon us and also it's after effects are seen during the middle age period of our life. So, consuming healthy foods and having enough amount of exercise would confirm a required amount of fitness needed by one's body to function properly without giving much trouble.
Then, another significant and most visible thing is the facial hair which starts it's growth and eventually reaches a stage where it starts from a moustache which in turn moves onto becoming thick beards, which are one's choice. Maintenance is something that is important when one decides to have a beard or moustache or to remain clean shaven. The facial hair and the mental growth has something to play in one's behavioral changes and attainment of maturity. These two things have quite some connection with each other and is also being witnessed by some when the time comes.
The growth in terms of one's mind is very crucial and significant and it is mostly reflected out by one's actions and appearance. This growth in terms of mind is identified when one's innocence is erased from one's mind either naturally or by certain traumatic situations which happens spontaneously without giving the person a mental break to heal from the wounds. Innocence is something that is very much identified in a child and sometimes in adults as well. This quality being found in the adults is very rare and if one has this quality even when one is tending towards adulthood it is a rare gift given to one by the Almighty God and it remains with one for a longer period of time but not forever.
The innocence seen in adults are most of the times taken advantage of by many people and they misuse these innocent beings and mostly the bitter betrayal is the only reward given to the innocent being. The betrayal and the betrayer are the two factors which forces one to discard one's innocence in spite of it being a rare gift from nature and is present innately inside one's self. The trauma caused to such innocent beings can cause a lot of changes within them and the innocence is completely rooted out from one's mind and they turn to the common crowd's attitude which is present around them ,where this gift of innocence is absent. The sign of innocence being lost and the healing and recreation process is seen in many men in their transformation by growing thick beards and making their appearance quite stronger and to a certain extant where they are not considered as easy targets.
Even though one has undergone this trauma, his morality and character stays intact within himself and it proves to be stronger than his innocence.
