 What Should I Say ?

Many a times the screen goes blank,

Don't know what to tell,

Can't express my feelings,

The question comes to my mind,

What should I say ?

Words come out during a casual conversation,

But the right words are needed now,

My tongue slips at first,

Then I get hold on to it,

Now it's easy to catch up,

Speak up for yourself,

Talk what you think,

Think twice before you talk,

Words are more sharper than the knives,

Words hurt at times,

They make scars that won't heal,

They are more powerful than a scar,

A scar caused due to cut or fire,

So be careful and choose the words,

They have the power to bring an everlasting joy,

They bring along with them eternal joys,

So be clear and straightforward,

Use the words that make you unique,

Words that express kindness and politeness,

So learn to give out good words.

After about a week joining at Madras Christian College (Autonomous) for pursuing my undergraduate course in B.A English Language and Literature under the aided stream I had my first visit to my college library named as 'Miller Memorial Library'. Since, it was my first time I just took a random book from the 'English' section and read it. Then, whenever I had my free hours I started to have regular visits to the library. Till the end of my 1st semester I used to go either to the 'English'or 'Philosophy' section to read. Then, from my 2nd semester onwards I started to use Reading Hall 1 as our syllabus started to have poetry, prose, drama and fiction as I had my own books to read. I felt that my college's library is one among the places that is really good for people who want to use their time productively especially for the arts students.
