Poem 48 : Help and Slavery
Help and Slavery
- T ABRAHAM
The words mostly interchanged,
The two misunderstood ones,
The one who needs help,
Help is not by force,
It is done to ease the burden of someone,
He didn't demand help,
He asked for help,
Or many a times no words are needed to express,
The need or want for help,
It is something like air,
That doesn't have any form,
But you and I can feel it,
So is help and you need it,
You are thankful to me,
But it was a small help,
A help at first you refused,
But upon insisting you accepted,
But the other one,
The one who makes me do silly things,
He uses the term help,
Not humble enough,
It's not help,
He is making us his slaves,
I can feel it and you can feel it,
It is the smoke that fills the air,
So suffocating and irritating,
Hard to breathe and see,
But I am clear about this,
I helped one person,
I was a slave to one person,
The person who asked help was humble,
The other one was not,
'Thank you' comes from the mouth which needed help,
Nothing comes out from the mouth of the other,
When they have used you as a slave,
So is the words help and slavery,
Be careful while understanding these terms,
Helping gives a satisfaction,
Slavery gives a pinch of irritation,
So give a helping hand for the burdened,
Don't be a slave to a cheater.
