Procrastination A Pit
- T ABRAHAM
It's time to start the work,
Started the work, but wait,
I want a break,
I want to relax, I feel lazy,
It's nearing the deadline,
Still lying on the couch,
Laughing, munching, dreaming.
Then, the reality strikes,
'Oh my God !', an inner exclamation of the mind.
Realized that the work is undone,
The consequences strike,
For a boy it is punishments and humiliation,
For a man it is getting fired.
This devil named procrastination,
Always following me,
Always following us,
Always follows everyone,
Don't talk to this devil,
Don't smile at this devil,
As the serpent made Eve sin,
The sin that caused Adam to sin,
The first sin of man kind,
Ignore this devil,
Be committed wholeheartedly,
Have an eye on the clock,
Don't be paranoid,
But be very particular about your duties,
Be optimistic, cheerful and energetic,
Like the atoms getting into excited state,
Use these three to heat up yourself,
Trash the laziness into a pit,
And don't let yourself fall in a pit,
'Which pit ?' many may ask,
A pit called procrastination,
Which is filled with worries, unwanted rush,
Troubles, punishments and cries,
From which the angels can't rescue you,
Because the angels cannot step into the hell.
