Thirst and hunger prevailing,

Desperately waiting and waiting,

Freedom and comfort went missing,

Dates and months are peeping,

Like the venomous snakes hissing,

Curtailment of comfort,

Curtailed freedom of movement,

Waiting for the final moment,

Stringent rules moving apart,

Food and water in abundance,

Freedom bringing comfort in abundance,

Forever will the snakes move apart,

Never will the thirst and hunger come again.

After about a week joining at Madras Christian College (Autonomous) for pursuing my undergraduate course in B.A English Language and Literature under the aided stream I had my first visit to my college library named as 'Miller Memorial Library'. Since, it was my first time I just took a random book from the 'English' section and read it. Then, whenever I had my free hours I started to have regular visits to the library. Till the end of my 1st semester I used to go either to the 'English'or 'Philosophy' section to read. Then, from my 2nd semester onwards I started to use Reading Hall 1 as our syllabus started to have poetry, prose, drama and fiction as I had my own books to read.
