 The Monosyllabic Power

The two letter word,

The word to reject,

This word is hard to say,

Or hardly ever uttered,

Is it easy to tell it ?

It is simple to tell,

Simplicity to reject,

This monosyllabic word,

'No' means 'no',

These two letters,

Easy to say but,

Difficult for many,

Just two letters,

These two letters,

Can save you,

Can protect you,

Two-letter word,

A word of rejection,

Reject the evil,

Walk to the light,

Light of God,

Tell N-O to the devil,

For temptations and fakeness,

This word is strong,

I tell you, 'No means no',

It does not tell anything else,

It does not mean 'wait',

Nor it tells, 'I will think',

The word uttered,

Is my first and final decision,

A decision of rejection,

No means 'no'.

After about a week joining at Madras Christian College (Autonomous) for pursuing my undergraduate course in B.A English Language and Literature under the aided stream I had my first visit to my college library named as 'Miller Memorial Library'. Since, it was my first time I just took a random book from the 'English' section and read it. Then, whenever I had my free hours I started to have regular visits to the library. Till the end of my 1st semester I used to go either to the 'English'or 'Philosophy' section to read. Then, from my 2nd semester onwards I started to use Reading Hall 1 as our syllabus started to have poetry, prose, drama and fiction as I had my own books to read. I felt that my college's library is one among the places that is really good for people who want to use their time productively especially for the arts students.
