Poem 54 : True Love

True Love
                             - T ABRAHAM

Love is a feeling,

A feeling not always felt,

When can I feel it?

Who is a true lover?

A love from the heart,

Love of mother Mary,

Mother Mary loved her son,

So who is she?

A true lover,

A lover unchangeable,

An innate love,

So did I felt that love,

From this one and only person,

She is my world,

She is my provider and a guide,

At times arguments,

Sometimes fights,

Caused by difference in opinions though,

But she never leaveth me,

So will I never leaveth her,

Problems come day by day,

They scare me every hour of my life,

The strength which I get in my heart is enormous,

Her words strengthens my heart,

A love that nobody else can give me,

A true lover is she,

She who never forsakes me,

She who never thinketh ruin for me,

Path with rocks and needles were once chosen,

But it was hard to pass by,

The destiny is of riches,

That destiny's riches are a choice,

There went two paths again,

One with sand and the other with needles,

I bleed, I bleed,

My heart is weak,

I weep, I weep,

No more of this choice of hers,

I choose my path,

I want something else,

Riches wanted but not that path,

The pathway of sand,

With luxuries and warmth,

But she opposed,

I rebelled,

But she can understand,

Again and again paths diverged,

I choose my way,

I want something but it is at the end,

I tried breaking of the path,

My heart ached,

Ached with pain of destruction,

Destruction and ruin would flood,

I walked the hot sand with sandals,

It was fine,

But my heart was still aching,

Aching for the time to move soon,

So did I take big steps,

These steps with less impact,

It did sadden her,

But she understood,

She didn't want to bother me,

My heart pours out words,

Words of joy and happiness,

Letters from my heart comes out,

This true lover is none other than a mother,

A mother's love is the true love.
