Poem 46 : A Burning Desire

 A Burning Desire

                                 - T ABRAHAM

Always there is some desire,

Which is like a candle flame,

Burns to give a light,

The light is not powerful,

Not powerful enough to light up the whole place,

But when more flames like these join,

They join in a unison to brighten,

The room is filled with light,

So is the desire inside,

First not able to comprehend things,

Then slowly this desire burns tirelessly,

The desire to learn new things,

The achievable and the attainable goals,

Not impossible, but desire should burn,

This desire lightens up the road,

The road to success,

The candle melts,

So does the circumstances are,

The desire burns, but there are rejections,

Have enough desire to reach your destiny,

Sometimes the desire vanishes,

Don't let it vanish away,

Light the next candle,

Walk straight and don't turn back,

Be confident and don't waver from the path,

There are winds to blow off,

To turn off the desire,

Cover up the flame,

The flame should not be blown off,

The desire that burns in you,

It is the light to your path.
