Why do we need to sacrifice ?

Sacrifice is always coming,

This sacrifice is always attaching itself with many things,

New hobby, new work, new habits,

Why something new needs sacrifice ?

Sacrifice leisure time to be productive,

Sacrifice laziness for an everyday exercise,

Why these two are always like siblings ?

Sacrifice and new habits,

Sacrificed my sleep for exams,

Sacrificed my sleep for projects,

'Sacrifice, you are going too far', I said,

But then understood,

Sacrifice is a choice,

Choose wisely, what to sacrifice,

Sacrifice your entertainment, leisure time and fun,

But always keep this in mind,

Never, never to sacrifice your happiness, sleep and health,

So think whether you are sacrificing for a good cause,

So ask God for wisdom and knowledge,

To sacrifice one thing for the other or not.

After about a week joining at Madras Christian College (Autonomous) for pursuing my undergraduate course in B.A English Language and Literature under the aided stream I had my first visit to my college library named as 'Miller Memorial Library'. Since, it was my first time I just took a random book from the 'English' section and read it. Then, whenever I had my free hours I started to have regular visits to the library. Till the end of my 1st semester I used to go either to the 'English'or 'Philosophy' section to read. Then, from my 2nd semester onwards I started to use Reading Hall 1 as our syllabus started to have poetry, prose, drama and fiction as I had my own books to read. I felt that my college's library is one among the places that is really good for people who want to use their time productively especially for the arts students.
