Poem 282 : Melancholic Sleep

Melancholic Sleep

With or without a late night sleep,

A laziness crawling and creeping,

The fluttering eyes, soul and spirit,

Breaking into tiny pieces of glass,

Gathered together to see the cracks,

Loading and unloading everyday,

Reloading the heaviness next day,

Bending but unyielding to break,

Opening the pages of mystery,

To know some fictional history,

Turning over the dots and lines,

But this cloudiness is crowding,

Open lies the mystery incomplete,

Glasses unbroken and kept away,

The relaxing bones of the human,

Cozy sheets all around forwarding,

A dragging drowsiness drowning,

Blankness filling over the place,

Sudden jerks felt amidst the blank,

The day turned again into today,

With yesterday submerged below,

A melancholic sleep standing above.
