Poem 244 : The Celebration

 The Celebration

Sparkles of glow everywhere,

Encircling lights and sparks,

Bright and foggy added to the dark,

Glittering lights and ornaments,

Sweets to add more oil to the lamp,

The lamp of happiness and joy,

Sticks and stones of fragrance,

Crackling and bursting with a boom,

Darkness without a drop of gloom,

Noisy disturbance equilibrating,

Sneezes and burning sensation,

Fragrance reaching its height,

Smoky fragrance with a light,

Oiled lamps burning till the night,

Whistling sparks going above,

Bursting and crackling all around,

Candle lights becoming omnipresent,

In a land of mysteries it is such a delight,

Lamps kept to be blown at the end,

Finally blown out with an expectant spirit.
