Poem 82 : Language Learning

 Language Learning
                                   - T ABRAHAM

At first seems to be an alien,
A new species on my tongue,
Some different sounds in my ears,
The letters seems like drawings,
The letters seems like curves,
But at first made no sense,
Everything seems senseless,
And none can I understand,
Some sounds were ruff,
Some sounds were soft,
Honey rolled over my tongue,
For the sweet language,
Sourness rolled over my tongue,
For a sour language,
Bitterness rolled over my tongue,
For the rough sounds,
Salt rolled over my tongue,
For the soft ones.
Be it nonsensical,
Let it be an alien to me,
But the result is tremendous,
I was an alien to this land,
Once seemed to be nonsensical,
But this made me worthy,
These drawings and curves,
Removed the alienness from me,
My tongue moved in a joyful manner,
All tastes were peeping out,
Such is the language learning,
Tremendous is the joy attained.
