Poem 73 : Truth of Life

Truth of Life
                      - T ABRAHAM

Show me the truth,

Tell me my way,

I want to follow the truth,

Let the truth be bitter,

Let the truth disgust me,

Let the truth be sweet,

Let the truth be a surprise,

Is truth always bitter ?

Never is it true,

If bitterness is less or more,

Right amount of bitterness,

Right amount of sweetness,

This truth gives me peace,

Peace in my mind and heart,

The truth of life,

This truth is such a joy,

A joy forever.

After about a week joining at Madras Christian College (Autonomous) for pursuing my undergraduate course in B.A English Language and Literature under the aided stream I had my first visit to my college library named as 'Miller Memorial Library'. Since, it was my first time I just took a random book from the 'English' section and read it. Then, whenever I had my free hours I started to have regular visits to the library. Till the end of my 1st semester I used to go either to the 'English'or 'Philosophy' section to read. Then, from my 2nd semester onwards I started to use Reading Hall 1 as our syllabus started to have poetry, prose, drama and fiction as I had my own books to read. I felt that my college's library is one among the places that is really good for people who want to use their time productively especially for the arts students.
