Poem 39 : Unlike Poles Attract

 Unlike Poles Attract

                       - T ABRAHAM

Just like the poles of a magnet,
The north and the south,
The theory of magnetic attraction and repulsion,
It says, 'Like poles repel and the unlike poles attract',
So is our friendship,
I love one thing but you don't,
I hate one thing but you don't,
But don't know what binds us,
Don't know what is the field that surrounds us,
We got attracted like the unlike poles,
I am the north and you are my south,
I love biology, you love physics,
But we hate vice-versa, you know,
I am not good in singing, but you love to sing,
I have the taste of being a conservative,
You love liberty,
But the things we share in common is less,
But our views and opinions overlap,
This overlap is the one that brought us closer,
The same fears in life,
The same dislikes and likes,
Which are few to point out,
But I like you for who you are,
And the same is your attitude towards me,
How distant we are now,
Our friendship never fades,
Just as the magnetic strength can be seen within it's limits,
So does our limits put us aside,
But I won't forget you forever,
Forever you have a space in my heart.
