Poem 22 : Did You Suffer ?

 Did You Suffer ?

Sometimes it feels like slow death,

Volcanic eruptions in my stomach,

Like lava coming out from the volcano,

So does nausea.

Whenever I slip and fall down,

The hit is like a construction site,

Where the old structure is demolished,

So as the structure breaks down,

Such is the pain in my muscle.

Whenever the projects are incomplete,

No sleep for one night,

Sacrifice of sleep for accomplishment of goals,

The next morning when walking,

I stumble, I feel weak, I feel unstable,

My head spins like a top.

I suffer non-stop.

Wait, do you call this suffering ?

Had not Christ suffer for us,

Did he not suffer for us at the cross,

He was bleeding all the time at the cross,

This thought strikes me,

Whenever I suffer,

Our sufferings are nothing,

Bounce back, bring in strength to face anything,

Yes, to suffer is a challenge,

Life is not always a bed of roses,

It is a bed with thorns that keeps piercing us,

Learn to withstand it.
