A Nightmare's Scream
- T ABRAHAM
I went to sleep,
With a mind fully influenced by the world,
Effects of the stress, weariness and fear,
Started to sink deep into sleep,
Sleeping to get rest,
Sleeping to get charged with energy,
Sinking deep into the sleep,
Sun slowly rising when the next day is showing up,
With eyes closed,
Had a peaceful sleep without any noticeable dream,
Suddenly, suddenly I heard someone running,
Saw myself running to save my loved ones,
Running from a person with a gun in his hand,
Running away from a person with a knife in his hand,
A great loud cry heard far from the road,
'Bang, bang, bang', three shots fired,
There was lying down a person,
Shot in his heart,
One stabbed in her heart,
I cry, I cry, I cry aloud,
I cry for my loved ones,
I couldn't save them,
In a lawless world,
Trapped amidst the rotten air,
Trapped amidst criminals,
No police, no one to rescue us,
I cry, I cry, I cried aloud,
Then heard some voice amidst this,
'What's wrong with you ?' a familiar voice,
Then suddenly woke up,
It's five early in the morning,
Realized it was a dream,
Not a prophetic dream,
But a dream due to the situation of the current world,
Amidst which we are caught,
Where crimes against us takes place,
Where we cry because of being hurt,
Hurt whose scar is created by someone,
Someone trying hard to emotionally break us down,
But as this dream flies away in the afternoon,
So does the scar vanishes away,
So does the unjust, lawlessness is killed,
By truth, trustworthiness and kindness.
