 So Pleasing to See

When I open my eyes,

After a long time,

It's very pleasing to see the clear sky after the rain,

It's pleasing to see you after a long time,

Years have passed and many things have happened,

But our bond of friendship does not get weak,

I say it's pleasing to see you,

It gives me energy, joy and happiness,

Our beautiful friendship,

Our fights, our laughs, our heartbreaks.

It's pleasing to see the old uniforms that we wore,

In which we look the same and no inequality,

The shoes we wore,

The bag we took with us,

It's pleasing to see you,

It's pleasing to see the old memories,

The sweet memories coming in front of my eyes.

After about a week joining at Madras Christian College (Autonomous) for pursuing my undergraduate course in B.A English Language and Literature under the aided stream I had my first visit to my college library named as 'Miller Memorial Library'. Since, it was my first time I just took a random book from the 'English' section and read it. Then, whenever I had my free hours I started to have regular visits to the library. Till the end of my 1st semester I used to go either to the 'English'or 'Philosophy' section to read. Then, from my 2nd semester onwards I started to use Reading Hall 1 as our syllabus started to have poetry, prose, drama and fiction as I had my own books to read. I felt that my college's library is one among the places that is really good for people who want to use their time productively especially for the arts students.
